Joshua Mark Ashford: 1997

Joshua was born at home on Mountain View Road in Hurst, Texas, on Wednesday, September 10, 1997—arriving on the wedding anniversary of his parents, Sonia and John Ashford. As the sixth child in the family, he joined his siblings Sarah, Jacob, John, Jason, and Jeremiah. He is the grandson of Esther and Joe Hobbs, as well as his grandfather Rod Ashford. After being homeschooled through the first grade, he attended Meadow Creek Elementary and Harwood Junior High, eventually graduating from Trinity High School in May 2016.

His pharmacy career began at 17, when he applied for his Pharmacy Technician in Training certificate—his “red card.” Immediately after high school graduation, he took the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam to become a registered and certified pharmacy technician (CPhT), officially earning his “green card.”

While working his way through Tarrant County College and the University of Texas at Arlington, Joshua balanced his time between the pharmacy and the catering industry, which he began working in during his third year of college. He earned his Associate of Arts in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Languages and International Studies (German Track) in May 2022. Along with his degree, he completed minors in Global Studies and Localization & Translation: German, graduating with honors from the College of Modern Languages for Achievement in Excellence.

Following his graduation in 2022, Joshua completed an internship with RWS, where he served as a localization project management intern. After finishing the internship, he continued his career in the pharmacy profession before returning to graduate studies in January 2025. He is currently attending Texas Woman’s University, pursuing a dual Master of Healthcare Administration (Global Health emphasis) and an MBA.
